Group therapy is for clients who want a source of support within a safe and caring environment. Since you have relationships with other group members, you have the opportunity to not only learn about but to experience intimacy, and you can learn to enrich your relationships with partners, friends, family, and co-workers. It is a place to “try on” new skills in finding a long-term relationship, if you don’t have one, or to improve an existing relationship. As you work on yourself, you can also discover new things about yourself as you develop a surer sense of self.
